Damascus, SANA- Cold weather conditions will continue to prevail in Syria, according to the Meteorological Department.
The Department's Monday bulletin stated that the temperatures will stay from 3 to 5 below average as the country is affected by a shallow low pressure accompanied by cold northern air currents in the highest part of the atmosphere.
The skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general, while at night the weather will be intensely cold, and in the early morning, frost and ice are expected.
The wind will be northerly to northwesterly with low to moderate speed, while the sea waves will be low in amplitude.
Different amounts of rainfalls were registered in a number of provinces as follows: Sweida 22mm and Daraa 18mm.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 9/-1, Daraa 10/0, Homs 7/-3, Hasaka 9/2, Tartous 14/2, Aleppo 9/-1, Deir Ezzor 9/4
