Lattakia, SANA-Based on the importance of the tourism sector in the economic development in the recovery and reconstruction phase, and emphasizing the importance of revitalizing popular tourism in Lattakia Governorate, Minister of Tourism, Mohamed Rami Martini opened on Thursday the "Golden Gulf Beach" facility for popular tourism in Hmeimim, Jableh, and the La Plage Hotel and overnight huts on La Plage Beach for popular tourism in Wadi Qandil, in addition to the opening of Al-Basil Swimming Pool in the city of Lattakia.
Minister Martini indicated after a tour to those sites that Lattakia is one destination of many tourist sites that includes six governorates, which began with Homs and Hama, then Tartous, and today Lattakia, and soon in Deir Ezzor, pointing out that this tour is dedicated to popular tourism projects, to be followed by future tours for opening new investment facilities.
Hmeimim Beach was opened today for popular tourism, which embodies a true model of fruitful partnership between the public and private sectors to provide distinctive products and pioneering services. Martini added.
