Astana, SANA- Syrian weightlifter Qasoura Jgheili won three gold medals at the Asian Youth Weightlifting Championships, currently being held in the Kazakh capital, Astana.
Jgheili s gold medals in the snatch, clean and jerk, and total categories confirm his superiority in one of the strongest continental championships.
He had previously excelled at the U-20 World Youth Championships in Peru last May, when he set a new Syrian record in the +109 kg category with a total of 359 kg. He placed fourth in the snatch, fifth in the clean and jerk, and sixth in the total.
This achievement reflects the young Syrian weightlifter's developing skills and strengthens Syria's presence on the international weightlifting competition map.
