TEHRAN (Tasnim) Syrian media reported that Israeli warplanes carried out repeated air raids on several locations across the Arab country, including a military base in the Saqoubin area near Latakia in western Syria, as well as areas around Palmyra in eastern Homs province and central Syria.
- World news -According to Syrian sources, multiple ambulances were dispatched to the outskirts of Damascus to transport the wounded to hospitals in the capital following the latest bombardment by the Israeli regime.
Reports indicated that the strikes targeted a base in Latakia, the Air Defense College in the Maskanah area, a military site in Palmyra, and facilities in Shinshar south of Homs, leaving widespread damage. Witnesses said the Israeli warplanes repeatedly bombed several sites, with the Palmyra airbase still engulfed in flames hours after the attack.
Syrias foreign ministry issued a strong condemnation of the overnight raids, calling on the United Nations Security Council to assume its responsibility and take firm action to stop Israels repeated aggression.
The Israeli attacks are a blatant violation of sovereignty, a direct threat to Syrias security, and a destabilizing act against the entire region, the ministry said in its statement.
