SDF Forces arrest four civilians northeastern Hasakah countryside

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) detained four civilians on Saturday in the village of Ararour, located in the Rmeilan subdistrict of Al-Malikiyah, northeastern Hasakah province, according to local sources.

The arrests followed a security raid during which SDF personnel reportedly surrounded the village and conducted random searches. Residents said the detainees were taken to an undisclosed location, and no formal charges have been announced.

Local sources told Syrias state news agency (SANA) that the operation is part of a broader pattern of near-daily detentions in areas under SDF control, particularly in southern Hasakah, where Arab tribes constitute a significant portion of the population.

On Friday, dozens of demonstrators gathered in Damascuss Al-Marjeh Square to protest what they described as repeated violations by the SDF against communities in Syrias northeastern region. Protesters carried Syrian national flags and banners calling for unity and rejecting divisive rhetoric. Participants also voiced support for promoting civil peace and national cohesion across all segments of Syrian society.
