Paris, Jan.6 (SANA) Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and ExpatriatesAssad Hassan al-Shaibanimet on Tuesday in Paris with French Minister for Europe and Foreign AffairsJean-Nol Barrot.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed issues of mutual interest and explored ways to strengthen strategic partnerships between Syria and France, according to a statement by Foreign Ministry on its Telegram channel.

The Ministers discussed the possibility of French companies resuming operations in Syria, particularly in sectors linked to economic activity.

Barrot reaffirmed Frances commitment to supporting Syrias efforts in reconstruction and economic recovery, and to expanding cooperation between the two countries across various fields.

Minister al-Shaibani has arrived in Paris, accompanied by Head of General Intelligence apparatus Hussien al-Salameh fornegotiationswith the Israeli side under U.S. coordination and mediation.
