Syria, UK discuss boosting scientific and academic cooperation

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific ResearchMarwan Halabimet Sunday with a British government delegation led byAnne Snow, the UKs Special Representative for Syria, and Mary Shaw Cledge, Deputy Head of Mission, to discuss strengthening scientific and academic cooperation between Syria and the United Kingdom.

During the meeting, discussions focused on activating the Chevening scholarship program, supporting English language centers, advancing digital transformation, and fostering cooperation with the private sector to establish new educational centers.

The British governments international scholarship program Chevening is considered one of the most prestigious grants, attracting students from around the world to pursue postgraduate studies at UK universities. It is dedicated to outstanding individuals with leadership potential.
