Iraqs Prime MinisterMohammed Shia' al-Sudanidiscussed with Special Envoy for SyriaTom Barrackon Sunday practical mechanisms for Iraq to continue supporting Syrias stability, security, and economic recovery
According to a written statement issued by Iraqi Prime Ministers Media Office, the two officials reviewed ways to reinforce Syrias stability, security, and prosperity, in a manner that also strengthens Iraq's stability and development.
The two officials also exchanged views on preventing further escalation in the region, placing it on a path of cooperation, long-term stability, and economic growth. They expressed support for diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving regional disputes.
Barrack stressed "the constructive and essential role Iraq can play in achieving these shared objectives," according to the statement.
Al-Sudani has repeatedly affirmed Iraqs commitment to supporting Syrias stability, unity, and sovereignty.
