Aleppo, Dec 7 (SANA)Coinciding withLiberation Day, Syrias General Company for Cement and Building Materials Omran announced the launch of its new product, Pozzolanic Cement 42.5 CEM II, during an official ceremony held at the companys cement plant in the Sheikh Saeed district of Aleppo.
Mahmoud Fadila, Omrans Director General, said the new cement type is the first industrial product to enter theSyrian marketsince the areas liberation, describing it as a significant step toward restoring production capacity and strengthening the independence of the industrial sector.
According to Fadila, the new product is expected to reduce reliance on lower-quality imported cement and highlights the capabilities of Syrian technical and engineering teams, who have been working to rebuild the countrys industrial base and supply materials needed for reconstruction.
He added that the launch marks an early milestone in the post-liberation recovery phase and reflects Syrias efforts not only to rebuild but also to innovate.
