Damascus, Dec. 8 (SANA)SyriasMinister of Economy and Industry, Mohammad Nidal alShaar, said on Monday that Liberation Day is a key national occasion to honor the sacrifices of Syrians and reaffirm the countrys commitment to sovereignty and stability.
AlShaar told SANA that the anniversary reflects a strong public determination to build a future based on independence and sustainable development. He noted that Syria retains the fundamentals needed to restore its regional economic standing.
He added that the government is prioritizing the rehabilitation of damaged economic infrastructure, revitalization of production, and improvement of the investment climate to encourage the return of capital and skilled professionals. The minister also emphasized the importance of expanding publicprivate partnerships to generate employment and support growth.
AlShaar stressed that strengthening national institutions and updating economic policies to meet current needs remain central to the governments agenda. He said the ministry is aligning its plans with sustainable development goals to enhance the economys capacity for recovery.
Concluding his remarks, the minister highlighted the resilience of Syrians as a driving force behind the countrys reconstruction efforts. He noted that the government has adopted a freemarket approach aimed at reintegrating Syria into the global economy and attracting investment for reconstruction.
