Ankara, Dec 18 (SANA)Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidanhas urged the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to honor a March 10 agreement with Damascus that calls for their integration into state institutions, warning that regional patience is wearing thin.
In an interview with TRT World, Fidan accused the SDF of stalling and said Ankara does not wish to resort to military means again, but stressed that commitments must be fulfilled. He noted that Washington also recognizes the importance of the deal for Syrias unity and stability, while suggesting the SDF may be betting on regional crises or Israeli expansionist policies.
Fidan highlighted Syrias cooperation in fighting ISIS alongside regional states and the U.S., insisting that no terrorist group should derail Syrias recovery. He added that Turkey and Syria are capable of confronting the threat effectively.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoan echoed the message last week, saying the March 10 agreement would strengthen Syrias unity and pave the way for peace and prosperity
