Kristalina Georgieva, Managing director of the International Monetary Fund(IMF), stated on Monday that the IMF was ready to support Syrias economic recovery.

She praised the Syrian governments efforts to make the transformation possible, expressing the IMF's readiness to assist, including through existing technical support for key institutions.
During his visit to the United States, President al-Sharaa met with Georgieva at the IMF headquarters in Washington on Sunday. They discussed opportunities for cooperation in developing Syrias economy.
