Urgent: Syrian army launches operations in Kurdish neighborhoods in Aleppo

DAMASCUS, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Syrian army launched military operations in the predominantly Kurdish neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh in Aleppo city on Wednesday, according to a statement by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
