Damascus, Jan 10 (SANA)Minister of Defense, Major General Murhaf Abu Qasra, held a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Yaar Gler, to discuss developments in Aleppo and issues of common interest.
The talks focused on recent developments in Aleppos Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods. Gler expressed Turkeys support forthe Syrian statein its efforts to extend sovereignty across all Syrian territory.
Minister Abu Qasra expressed his gratitude for Turkeys supportive stance, highlighting the importance of continued cooperation between the two ministries.
On the 30th of last month, the Turkish Minister of Defense discussed several issues of mutual interest with a delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Defense, headed by Major General Ali al-Nassan, Chief of the General Staff, in Ankara.
