Damascus, Jan. 11 (SANA)Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal al-Shaar said Saturday that Aleppo, with its significant industrial and economic role, will continue to serve as a vital pillar of Syrias economy and a cornerstone of the countrys recovery and reconstruction.
Al-Shaar stressed the ministrys commitment to restoring normal life and strengthening economic and social stability in the city. He noted ongoing efforts to ensure a steady supply of bread and provide the materials needed to keep bakeries operating across Aleppos neighborhoods.
The ministers remarks came after the Syrian Arab Army ended daily security threats from the SDF organization, which carried out more than 350 attacks on residential neighborhoods over a ten-month period.
He added that the ministry is working to protect industrial facilities and ensure their continued operation in coordination with relevant authorities while also seeking to revitalize the LairamonIndustrial City, given its strategic importance in supporting local industries and attracting investment.
Al-Shaar emphasized that these measures are part of a broader plan to improve living conditions and reaffirm Aleppos role as a driving force in Syrias national economy.
